Everyone loves a small project to get that instant feeling of completion. This little pouch is great for a weekend getaway, with a little needle-turn applique, a little stitchery and a little paperpiecing. The front of the pouch has a fun little flowerpot filled with daisies and the word 'Simplify' You could always change the word to house someone's name or something more apt.The back is hand-pieced using simple hexagons. It is completed using a zipper which has been put in totally by hand.
I was in the need of a new tote, which is often the reason why new projects come into being. This bag is the perfect size for me, at 12"x16", so big enough to fit my A4 documents, water bottle and everything else I need for my day, without it being too large and cumbersome to carry. This bag has a needle-turn applique image on the front which is finished with a ric rac border. The back of the bag boasts a pocket, and the gussets and base have an interesting pieced finish with ties to gather the gussets a little, and finish it off perfectly.
This quilt is a fat quarter friendly quilt, with 19 fat quarters needed along with a base colour (in this instance natural linen), and binding. It is 54" in size, so a perfect lap quilt size, although just add some easy borders to make it larger. There are 10 applique blocks to create (with a little bit of stitchery), along with simple piecing to make it a truly relaxing quilt to make.

Small but oh so sweet is this little treat bag. At just 5" wide and 5.5" tall, it is the perfect size for giving chocolates or ginger-bread, or small gift at Christmas. This is a hexagon lovers dream with 3/4" hexagons & pentagons making up this little bag. This project is hand-pieced for the most part with just a small amount of machine piecing to complete the bag.
This sweet little wall hanging is a great project to complete with applique and stitchery being the main focus. It is just 14.5" in size, and has an optional extra of adding numbered discs around the outside edge to create an advent calendar to mark down each day until Christmas. The discs have a number on one side and an image on the other. This optional extra is included in the instructions with stitchery images to trace.
This pattern started off as a wall hanging until a very good friend of mine stated she wanted a very special Christmas Bag she could cart presents in at Christmas....something for her instead of her children, so ta da! I made my design into a large carpet bag style bag. It is very roomy at 18" wide, 18" tall. and 6" deep. The sides have been gathered slightly, and are finished with side bands. There is a tile with wording ‘Together at Christmas’, along with extra wording ‘Hello old friend’, and ‘Joy’. So it is up to you to decide if a bag is for you, or if you would like this image on a pillow, or on a wall. This project combines needleturn applique, stitchery, and simple machine piecing.
This table runner has been made using simple machine piecing, along with applique and some stitchery. You could make it as long or as short as you need it by adding or removing the applique trees. Finished size 14"x 40".
This small quilt combines all of my loves again, using woven wool applique, stitchery, and simple machine piecing. The main panel has the saying 'Merry Christmas to One and All', and is bordered by some wobbly little penguins....maybe rolling along in a snowball??, maybe one to many Christmas parties?? Heheh...the penguins could be used alone as a table runner, or in a larger quilt, or as decorations, the main panel could be used as a cushion or a smaller wallhanging....so many options with this pattern!
The quilt measures 36.5"x 41"
